I am very picky about my hair and in my search for a new iron I have had the chance to use pretty much every professional flat iron out there. I had over looked GHD because I thought, for the price, it can't be worth it and it is "only ceramic" and doesn't have the newest tourmaline ionic technology and the temp can't be adjusted and my hair is on the finer side. But, then I thought it has to be good if it is the most sought after iron and so many people rave about i, including many people who have finer hair. Now I see why. The GHD is by far the most advanced iron that you can buy, it doesn't need the tourmaline. The amazing and very advanced plates adjust to your hair's needs. Extremely light weight and the most streamlined iron compared to other 1" irons. The Sedu Revolution I had used before is bulky in comparison and didn't keep my fine curly hair as straight. This styler is great! A stylist in Germany used it on my relaxed hair that was in need of a touch up. But not after ghd did its magic. So I had to get my own. Anything that can extend the life of a relaxer by two-four weeks is alright with me. Since I live in Germany, the universal voltage is great for me. I can take it with me when I travel with the appropriate adapter plug. It seems that most people use this tool to straighten their hair. It certainly does that very well. But I use it to curl my hair and it works just as well as a regular curling iron (once you get the technique down). I simply love it and use it just about everyday. Be sure to use a thermal protectant on your hair to avoid any heat damage as this tool gets very hot!
